General Studio Rules

BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHER. REMEMBER, THIS IS A SHARED SPACE AND YOU ARE REPRESENTING THE FACE OF YOUR BUSINESS. IF THERE IS AN ISSUE, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL DEAL WITH THE SITUATION.

DO NOT LET ANYONE IN THE BUILDING YOU DO NOT KNOW. ANYONE THAT IS MEANT TO BE IN THE BUILDING WILL HAVE THEIR OWN UNIQUE ACCESS CODE.

NO UNACCOMPANIED MINORS. ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD, MUST HAVE AN ADULT WITH THEM.

NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. NO OPEN FLAMES.

NO SMOKING IN THE BUILDING. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SMOKE, YOU MAY DO SO OUTSIDE. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT SMOKING INSIDE, THE PERSON WHO BOOKED THE SESSION WILL BE HEAVILY FINED.

NO PETS. IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP OUR STUDIO AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE AND TO BE COURTEOUS OF THOSE WITH ALLERGIES, WE ASK THAT YOU DON’T BRING ANY ANIMALS INTO THE STUDIO.

NO GLITTER/SMALL CONFETTI. THIS IS EXTREMELY HARD TO CLEAN UP AND NEVER TRULY GOES AWAY.

CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. IF THERE IS A SPILL, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF AS WELL AS POSSIBLE AND NOTIFY US IF IT NEEDS MORE ATTENTION. THE SOONER WE KNOW, THE EASIER IT IS TO AVOID PERMANENT DAMAGE. THERE IS CLEANING SUPPLIES LOCATED IN THE BATHROOM CABINETS.

DO NOT THROW LIQUID IN THE TRASH CANS. THIS WILL MAKE A HUGE MESS FOR US TO CLEAN UP LATER AND STINK UP THE STUDIO. PLEASE DUMP ALL LIQUIDS DOWN THE SINK AND THEN THROW YOUR CUPS AWAY. WE WOULD LOVE TO CONTINUE TO OFFER COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS, SO PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL.

We Have an Answer to Your Question

  • What sessions and events are ideal in this space?
    Grit is the perfect photography space for branding, newborns, families, couples, boudoir, and so much more! We are also ideal for events such as networking parties, business education seminars and any intimate gathering that is looking for a cozy, aesthetic space to hang out.
  • What is included in the studio rental?
    Our studio provides 6 different set ups in our front room, a private back room with a king bed, a gorgeous clawfoot tub, newborn setups and an abundance of natural light from our floor to ceiling windows. We proudly offer complimentary coffee to all of our customers, as well as lockers for your valuables.
  • What is the cancelation policy?
    We understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule, you must notify us 24 hours before your booking. All sales are final, however, if you or your client has to cancel/reschedule a session, you are allowed to transfer your session to a later date. If you decide to cancel within the 24 hours before your booking, you will have to go through the full booking process again. Event cancellations must be done prior to 48 hours of the event for partial refund or reschedule.
  • Are there security cameras?
    Yes, we have multiple security cameras in our studio for everyone's safety. These are referenced in cases of theft, damages or accidents.
  • How do I get in the building?
    We will send a code 1 hour before your session with your booking that will allow access during your booking time. You will enter through the North West door facing Douglas and Seneca.
  • Where do we park?
    There are parking stalls on the north side of the building across from Taco Rio. There is also a parking lot on the south side of the building, on the back side of TJ’s Burger, as well as the surrounding businesses. (If you park in the back lot, you will have to walk around to the front entrance.)
  • Can I arrive early for my session?
    Yes! There are community spaces for you to wait until it is time for your session. You are welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes early to bring all of your belongings into the building, put your valuables in a locker and help yourself to a coffee, on us!
  • What is the maximum capacity for events?
    We allow up to 150 guests for event bookings.
  • Are Pets Allowed?
    Although we would love for you to bring your pets for your pictures, we found it was best not to allow pets in the studio due to it being a shared space and some guests having allergies.
  • Is this a shared space?
    Yes! Our front room is separated into 5 suites that can be booked out simultaneously. However, when you book a specific suite, nobody else is allowed to use that space during your slot.
  • How often are the suites changed out?
    We will be swapping things out periodically, but we will have a few new setups semiannually. If there is anything specific you would like to see, we have a suggestion box by the front door on the bar. We would love to hear your feedback and what you want to see in the studio!
  • Can I move things around?
    We have a designated space for flex furniture that has a variety of options that you can use in any suite. We do ask that the furniture in each suite stays with that set, because there might be a booking for that space that is expecting those pieces for their session. If you take items from the flex furniture, please return it after you are done with it.
  • Is alcohol allowed for events?
    Yes! You MUST have a licensed bartender and get approval for alcohol usage. Alcohol is not allowed for photography studio rentals, unless otherwise approved.
